Starting up

Started as a senior design project, ColoFlux is developing into a medical device company that continuously searches for solutions to fill the gaps present in patient care within the colorectal field. Under the guidance of renowned schools, UNC-Chapel Hill, Northwestern University, and NC State, we are actively creating a device to combat the high mortality rate present in these patients and save lives.

Chief Executive Officer

Sasank Sivadanam

Sasank is one of the co-founders of ColoFlux. He is currently a medical student at the Brody School of Medicine. He pursued his undergrad BS in Biomedical Engineering at the Joint BME Program at UNC Chape-Hill and NC State. He serves as a visionary and goal-setter for the team. His main strengths are grounded in business strategies, finance, biomedical research, and risk assessment.

Andrew Hoang

Andrew is one of the co-founders of ColoFlux. He is currently a medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He pursued his undergrad BS in Biomedical Engineering at the Joint BME Program at UNC Chape-Hill and NC State. His main focus is to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the team's goals are met to the highest standard. His main strengths are grounded in project management, biomedical research, and business planning.

Chief Scientific Officer

Keith Abbey

Keith is one of the co-founders of ColoFlux. He is currently a Post-Baccalaureate IRTA Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. He pursued his undergrad BS in Biomedical Engineering at the Joint BME Program at UNC Chape-Hill and NC State. His main focus for the team is to advance scientific understanding in the field of colorectal surgery. His primary strengths are grounded in biomedical research, risk management, and quality assurance.

Tyler Lee
Chief Product Officer

Tyler Lee

Tyler is one of the co-founders of ColoFlux. He is currently working in industry as a biomedical engineer. He pursued his undergrad BS in Biomedical Engineering at the Joint BME Program at UNC Chape-Hill and NC State. His primary objective for the team is to innovate and redefine diagnostic technology in the colorectal field. This goal is supported by his experience in product design and development, computer-aided design, and failure mode and effects analysis.
